Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A moving sedan car caught fire but fortunately the family of three escaped without any burn injuries. However, the raging flames engulfed the entire car. The incident occurred at Bijalpur Square around 6:30 am on Sunday when the family was heading towards the Airport.
Fire Brigade SI Santosh Dubey said that the car caught fire after an electric spark from its battery. Timely, the car driver Vivek Nath rescued himself along with his wife and son after seeing smoke coming from the bonnet of the car.
He also retrieved his luggage before the flames could engulf the car. They reached the spot immediately after receiving information and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes using three thousand litres of water.
The fire brigade removed the car from the road using a crane to avoid traffic congestion. According to the police, the family was going to Uttar Pradesh from Mhow. The car driver Vivek Nath, his wife Bhavna and his son were in the car when the incident occurred. Later, they continued their journey in another car.
