Weather update: Monsoon has created havoc at this time, due to which a flood-like situation has prevailed in many states. However, due to incessant rains in many states of the country, there has been a drastic drop in the temperature. People have got respite from the humid heat and scorching sun. The process of rain continues in the capital Delhi and Noida on Saturday (July 8) morning. According to IMD, heavy rains have been predicted across North India for the next four to five days. Heavy rains may be seen over Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.
The IMD said, “Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh may see heavy rains from July 8 to 9. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for some districts of Kerala. Yellow alert has also been issued in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts due to heavy rains.
In central India, light rain is expected during the next two days. Heavy rainfall is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and M.pur during next five days.
There will be heavy rain in these many states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of thunderstorm with heavy rain in Ladakh, Gujarat. Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, M.pur, Mizoram and Tripura may see heavy rains. Lightning is expected over Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Kerala.
According to the IMD, a warning of heavy rain accomp.ed by strong wind and thunderstorm has been issued in all parts. Mastadi village in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand was flooded. Due to the incessant rains, people are also facing a lot of trouble. There is a possibility of heavy rains in about 25 districts of the state.
