A video of a monitor lizard hiding itself inside the ceramics of a western toilet commode is being widely circulated on social media. The recent viral video recorded the reptile being rescued by a meticulous process. A man managed to tie the lizard by the rope and pull it out carefully. Ensuring the lizard was not hurt by during the rescue, he broke a portion of the commode with care.

In the video, we could see a lizard, which many viewers initially believed to be a snake, coiled up inside the ceramics of the toilet commode. While the exact location where the lizard was spotted was unknown, the visuals showed the reptile hiding inside the commode.
The video opened to shock netizens for showing a lizard in the toilet seat, unlocking another fear in some. After recording the visuals of the lizard there, a man was seen rescuing it by breaking the commode carefully.

This video is being widely circulated on the internet. The video was originally posted online by Shyam Govindsar, an animal rescuer with 1.1 million followers on Instagram.
Shyam shared more videos from the rescue, where he described the condition of the monitor lizard. He pointed out that the locals at initially tried to pull out the reptile using a thread, which has injured it.
He mentioned that a portion of its tail was cut and its lower body part was affected due to the tightly tied thread.
Another video where the reptile was placed in a wash basin, showed it popping out its tongue. While it was stated that the condition of the lizard was not quite good, it was still alive when rescued.
