Chilling visuals of a building wall collapse in the Chander Vihar area of Delhi, following a dust storm on Friday, has surfaced online. The video shows the moment when the wall of a five-storey structure fell on a busy street, leaving one dead and three others injured.

The incident occurred on Friday as people were casually walking through the streets of Chander Vihar in the national capital. As they approached a jewellery shop, a portion of the building fell from above in a disastrous manner. A wall collapsed and filled the premises with rubble.

Visuals surface

A CCTV camera installed nearby recorded the moment when the wall of the building fell. The footage initially showed normal pedestrian activity, but soon recorded the terrifying collapse of the wall along with falling construction material.

A woman in a red dress, accompanied by two other women and a man, was walking towards New Shiv Jewellers when the unfortunate incident occurred. At the same moment, a man in a white shirt was walking in the opposite direction. He was struck by the falling wall and immediately collapsed to the ground. A person rushed to check on him but quickly stepped back, allegedly after realising he was already dead.

According to reports, a 67-year-old man lost his life in the building collapse and at least three persons were injured.

The incident took place around 6.30 pm on Friday and the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) dispatched three teams to the spot.

News agency PTI reported that the construction material from the roof of the five-storey building fell on the adjacent road when a person named Manav was building a sixth floor.
