Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami is ready to make a comeback in international cricket. His name has been included in the Indian squad for the T20 and ODI series against England, which starts on January 22. Shami had to stay away from the game for a long time due to a heel injury. He played his last international match during the ODI World Cup final in 2023, where he performed brilliantly and took the highest number of wickets in the tournament by taking 24 wickets in 7 matches.

Shami talked about the selection in his playing eleven in an interview with News24 Sports. When asked why he doesn’t get the same respect as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, he gave a candid answer: “Things depend on selection by the team management. Whenever I am entrusted with responsibility, I try to fulfill it.”

After this, Shami talked about his frustration and said, “Everyone has frustrations. When I come on the field, I have to be ready for my performance. Perhaps, it is written in destiny that first you will stay and then come to perform.”

This sentiment of Shami has made his intention clear that he is always ready to give his best for the team.
