Mumbai – Bombay High Court upheld the appointment of an assistant professor at Mumbadevi Adarsh Sanskrit College in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, saying that his seven -year probation period is similar to exploitation and is a failure of justice.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, which has provided jobs to the applicant, is the motto – from Amritam to Vidya. It is written on the letterhead that it has been established with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi. If the college is working inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, then we hope that every employee will be treated fairly and should not be exploited in any way. Keeping this in mind, we are worried that the female teacher has acted as probation for six years and 10 months. You do not treat a teacher like this. This can be called exploitation.
Applicant Reshu Singh’s confirmation was delayed due to lack of formal approval. However, the court rejected the explanation, saying it was contrary to the record. The court approved the application and directed the college to provide confirmation letters to the applicant by the end of June 2020.
