Mumbai: The relations between India and Pakistan have become even more tense after the Pahalgam attack. After this attack, there is a threat of war between India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered several states to ‘mock drill’ at 244 sensitive places today in the backdrop of war preparations. Accordingly, now this mock drill will be held. This includes 16 places in Maharashtra.
This mock drill is being organized to know what precautions should be taken to protect citizens during the enemy attack and in such a situation. It is noteworthy that for the first time after the war of 56 years i.e. 1971, such instructions have been given for the first time. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, mock drills will be organized in 244 districts and talukas of the country. This includes 15 districts of Maharashtra and taluka. There will be blackout during the mock drill period. After the siren ringing, people will be trained to hide in a safe place.
Alert issued in coastal areas
Prabhat Kumar, director of Maharashtra Civil Protection Department, said, ‘The main objective of civil security by 2010 was to recruit volunteers during the war. But after 2010, disaster management was also included in it. Today, a mock drill will be organized in the coastal areas of the state on Wednesday. You will be taught what to do in the mock drill. The Maharashtra government is on high alert in view of the central government’s mock drill.
What will happen really in ‘mock drill’?
- Warning of air attack will be given.
- Observation and awareness of air attack sirens
- Blackout exercise, that is, closing lights to prevent the enemy from seeing important places at night
- People will be instructed to hide in safe places in a state -like situation.
- Measures to prevent enemy aircraft from reaching factories
- Practice to vacate potential attack sites
- The importance of storage of water, food and fuel in the house will be emphasized.
- Mock drills are considered important for improving administrative system in emergency situations.
