There has been tension between India and Pakistan since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. This tension between the two countries is increasing every day. Meanwhile, the Government of India has made it clear that it will definitely avenge the Pahalgam attack. In this context, mock drills were to be done in 244 districts across the country on 7 May. But now according to the new order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, this mock drill will be held in 294 districts. This is the first time since 1971 when such a mock drill is being organized.

All the veteran leaders from PM Modi to Home Minister Amit Shah have met the heads of the three armies. This is the reason why security has been increased in Jammu and Kashmir. The list has been released regarding the mock drill. This includes the names of 244 districts across the country. Full preparations have been started in these districts from today itself.
Lights of all houses, offices and public places will be closed during the mock drill.
There will be blackout during this mock drill. This means that lights in all houses, offices and public places will be closed during the mock drill. Along with this, siren will also be played in loud voice. People will have to be cautious and reach safe places as soon as they listen to sirens. Citizens will be trained to survive during the attack.
The steps taken during this mock drill include playing the siren of air strikes and training citizens on security aspects to protect themselves in any attack.
