To get rid of traffic jams on this route for a long time, the Noida Authority has once again started preparing to implement the mobility corridor project. This project will not only provide relief from the jam, but the traffic system of the entire region will also become modern and smooth.

What is the mobility corridor project?

Sector 62 Model Town Golchakkar in Noida is the major route connecting Noida and Ghaziabad from Golchakkar to Sector 60 Mamura. There is heavy traffic pressure in the morning and evening. Long queues of vehicles have become a common scene.

Now the Noida Authority will create a modern 2.9 km long mobility corridor on this entire route, which will provide better traffic distribution in this jam area and passengers will be able to travel easily.

Tenders will be removed again

The Noida Authority has already removed the tender for this project, but the company could not be selected for technical reasons. Now the authority has decided to remove the tender again so that work can start as soon as possible on the project.

Smart infrastructure along with beautification

The objective of this project is not only a solution to the traffic problem, but also beautification and convenient infrastructure development of the entire region.

• Pavement and walkway will be made

• Traffic signals and lighting will be installed

The size of the cholchakkar will decrease

Under this scheme, the size of Sector 62 Model Town Golchakkar will also be shortened so that the movement of vehicles there is simple. Also, public toilets at the corners of Golchakkar will be removed so that there is no blockage of traffic.

Arrangement of auto and e-rickshaw stand

An auto and e-rickshaw stand will also be built on the route leading to Chhijarasi, which will give public transport separate lanes. This will reduce the pressure of vehicles on the main road and the traffic will remain smooth.

Work will be completed in 6 months

The authority claims that as soon as the tender process is completed and the construction company is decided, the work will start and the entire project will be prepared in just 6 months. This time -bound action plan will ensure that people get quick relief.

How many people will benefit?

According to Noida Authority, about 5 lakh people from Noida and Ghaziabad will directly benefit from this project. Especially those who travel from this route every day will get rid of the trouble of being stuck in traffic for hours.

According to Noida Authority, this entire project will cost around ₹ 7.72 crore. This will include construction work, layout change, beautification, traffic management, and other smart features.
