Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): MLA and District Congress president Vipin Jain met journalists during ‘Meet the Press’ programme to discuss important issues in Mandsaur. He highlighted the pollution of Shivna River, which is the main source of drinking water for the city.

Jain explained that dirty drains are polluting the river and efforts are underway to purify it. A plan is in place to collect and treat drain water before releasing it back into Shivna, which will also help eliminate algae.

Jain also mentioned the need for Mandsaur to become a division and the ongoing work at Pashupatinath Lok. He addressed problems caused by Nilgais, which are damaging crops and causing accidents.

He plans to demand sterilisation of these animals. Another major issue is illegal occupation of a shopping complex in Gautamnagar Kalakhet by Sathiya community.

Jain has raised this in the assembly and is pushing for action. He also discussed the need for a functioning sonography centre in the district hospital and improvements in water supply.

Jain is working on plans for the upcoming Simhastha event, including accommodations for visitors. He emphasised the importance of forming management committees for local temples and sports facilities to improve community services.
