Showing seriousness over the problems being faced by the people due to the ongoing strike of s.tation workers in the town, local BJP MLA Dr. Narendra Singh held a special meeting with the administrative officials and issued instructions to remove the filth spread in the town. After this, a special cle.ng campaign was conducted by the Municipal Committee and the dirt at various places was removed.
Although this campaign was opposed by the s.tation workers protesting with their demands, the filth was removed in the presence of the police. During this time the police also detained two employees. On the other hand, the s.tation workers protested fiercely regarding their demands and said that instead of accepting their demands, the government is trying to put pressure on them. He said that his demand is that the temporarily reduced employees should be confirmed soon.
The BJP MLA said that solving the problems of the people is his priority and he had also held a meeting with the s.tation workers last day and had taken their demands to higher officials and it is hoped that the problem will be resolved soon.
