New Delhi, 10 December (Hindustan Reporter). Mixed signals are being received from the global market today. US markets closed with losses during the last session. Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading with weakness today. European markets closed with mixed results during the last session. At the same time, there is a generally bullish trend in Asian markets today.
US markets slipped from record levels during the last session due to the decline in tech stocks. Dow Jones remained under pressure for the third consecutive day. Similarly, the S&P 500 index ended the last session’s trading at 6,052.97 points with a weakness of 0.61 percent. Apart from this, Nasdaq fell by 132.11 points or 0.67 percent and closed at the level of 19,727.67 points. Dow Johns Futures is also seen trading at the level of 44,371.29 points with a weakness of 0.07 percent.
There was mixed trading in the European market during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,352.08 points with a gain of 0.52 percent. Similarly, the CAC index jumped 0.71 percent and ended the last session’s trading at the level of 7,480.14 points. In contrast, the DAX index closed at 20,345.96 points with a decline of 0.19 percent.
There is a general buying trend in Asia today. Out of the 9 markets in Asia, the indices of 6 are trading in the green mark with gains, while 2 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. There was no change in the Set Composite Index today due to the Thailand Stock Exchange holiday. Taiwan Weighted Index is trading today at 23,145.62 points with a decline of 127.63 points or 0.55 percent. Similarly, Jakarta Composite Index has reached the level of 7,410.15 points with a weakness of 0.37 percent.
On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 24,726.50 points with a gain of 0.08 percent. Similarly, the Straits Times Index has strengthened by 0.52 percent and reached the level of 3,814.74 points. Kospi index has taken a big jump today. At present this index has jumped by 2.10 percent and is trading at the level of 2,411.22 points. Similarly, Shanghai Composite Index has reached the level of 3,456.12 points with a rise of 1.55 percent. Apart from this, Hang Seng Index is trading at the level of 20,618.18 points with an increase of 204.09 points or 0.99 percent and Nikkei Index is trading at the level of 39,303.36 points with an increase of 142.86 points or 0.36 percent.
