Chandigarh: Even as India successfully intercepted and downed the incoming drones and missiles from Pakistan Thursday night, their debris was found from various villages’ fields of Punjab’s Bathinda and Hoshiarpur districts Friday morning.
According to reports, the debris was recovered from villages of Tungwali, Bir Talab and Gehri Baghi in Bathinda district. However, one of these missiles was reported to have hit a house in the fields of Tungwali village which damaged a shed and the windows of the house.
However, though no fatalities or injuries were reported from any part of the district, the residents of various other villages as well as Bathinda city, claimed that they also heard loud explosions.

Meanwhile, debris resembling parts of a missile was also recovered from a field in Kamahi Devi village in Hoshiarpur district.
Acting promptly, an Indian Air Force team took the debris into their possession for investigation and analysis of the same.
It may be recalled that on Thursday also, panic had gripped the village Jethuwal in Amritsar district amid the explosions around 1.30 am after what appeared to be a part of a missile fell in a field the bordering villages of the district.
Likewise, a part of a missile was also recovered from village Makhan Windi, located close to the village Jethuwal, following which the defence personnel rushed to the spots and took both the debris in their possession.
