Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A groups of youths created a ruckus in the name of New Year’s celebrations on Tuesday in Bhopal. The accused allegedly cut the cake with a sword, vandalised vehicle and hurled abuses, leading to panic among the locals.

A video of the incident has surfaced on social media, showing the miscreants waving sharp weapons and issuing threats in abusive language.

Soon after the video went viral, police reached the spot and paraded them on the road.

According to information, it all started over a car parking. Ratan Thakur parked the Scorpio near the house of one miscreant’s house. In return, they demanded ₹5000. After he refused, the miscreants then vandalised his car. The miscreants also hurled abuses and assaulted him. It was reported that they had a dispute earlier as well.

The accused even cut the cake with a sword on New Year’s Eve to threaten Thakur.

After the incident, Thakur approached the TT Nagar police station and narrated the ordeal there. The police then made a special team of senior officials to arrest the accused and conducted raids in various areas. The police then received a tip from the informer and immediately reached the spot.

The police then arrested the accused within hours, and when interrogated strictly, they accepted the crime. The police then registered a case under various sections of BNS, and further investigations are underway.

Later, the police took out their procession in the TT Nagar area.

However, few accused named Nilesh (23), Jai (18), Hrithik (22), Lucky (19), and Aakash (26) are absconding as of now.
