Lima (Peru), March 09: In a shocking incident, a man in Peru survived after a train passed over him while he was sleeping near the tracks. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera installed in the area and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. There are reports that the young man was under the influence of alcohol and failed to notice the train. Local authorities confirmed the shocking incident which took place in the capital city, Lima.
Incident Captured on Camera
Surveillance cameras recorded the unbelievable moment. The footage shows the man lying motionless on the ground, right next to the railway tracks. A slow-moving cargo train arrives on the spot and makes contact with him and passes over him. However, instead of being seriously hurt, the man gets up shortly after the train moves away.

Man Was Drunk and Unaware of the Danger
General Javier Avalos, a local official, explained that the man was in a state of intoxication. He had likely been drinking alcohol and fell asleep on the train tracks. Because of this, he did not feel or hear the train coming toward him.
Minor Injuries Despite the Danger
Despite the life-threatening situation, the man was incredibly lucky. He only suffered minor injuries on his left arm. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and took him to a hospital for medical treatment.
A Lucky Escape
The incident could have ended in tragedy, but the man survived with only small injuries. Authorities have not released his identity but have warned people to be more careful around train tracks to avoid such dangerous situations in the future.
