Mira-Bhayandar: The fourth edition of “Khula Aasman” (Open Sky) was held in Mira Road under the aegis of the Cinemax Lane Residents Welfare Association (CLWRA) on Sunday.

The socio-cultural event was held under the open sky in association with the traffic department of the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) and the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) between 6:30 am to 11 am on the stretch of road between the main Cinemax lane and Ramdev Park.

Hundreds of residents including children, young adults and even senior citizens from various housing societies registered their participation in the host of activities like yoga, mallakhamb, martial arts, painting, cycling, Zumba, lathi show, street plays, rangoli making, skating, spiritual speech, singing, poem reading, sports (wave board, cricket, football, badminton), musical instrument (flute, table, piano) and dance performances.

Statement Of A CLWRA Member

“Essentially meaning, the open sky, Khula Aasman is a platform which aims at providing an opportunity to citizens of all ages to freely open-up their artistic imagination and showcase their talents in a range of activities. The response was overwhelming,”said CLWRA member and chairperson of Ashley Tower Co-Operative Housing Society Rajeev Chauhan. A free medical check-up camp was also organised on the occasion.
