Ministry of External Affairs: India rejected China’s name change, told Arunachal integral

News India Live, Digital Desk: Ministry of external affairs: India on Wednesday rejected China’s repeated efforts to change the names of places in Arunachal Pradesh, calling this practice “meaningless and absurd” and insisted that the northeast state is an integral part of the nation. Responding to the questions of media persons, Foreign Ministry (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the recent name of Beijing was changed

Jaiswal said, “We have seen that China is engaged in its futile and absurd efforts to name places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.” “According to our theoretical stance, we clearly reject such efforts.”

The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that such “creative nomenclature” efforts made by China are unrelated to facts or sovereignty.

The statement said, “The creative nomenclature will not change the undisputed reality that Arunachal Pradesh was an integral and inseparable part of India, and always will be.”

This response has come at a time when tension has increased again, taking border claims between India and China, especially on the Line of Real Control in the eastern region.
