On the other hand, the Jabalpur High Court has questioned the language of the FIR lodged against him by the police. The court has asked the FIR to write correctly, including the entire order.
Following the order of Jabalpur High Court, Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah on Thursday moved the Supreme Court and demanded the cancellation of the FIR lodged against him. The Supreme Court agreed to hear his petition, but started by reprimanding the ministers. A bench headed by Chief Justice BR Gawai described Kunwar Vijay Shah’s statement as irresponsible. The Chief Justice said that this is not expected from the person sitting in such a post.
‘Ministers should speak responsibly in everything.’ On behalf of Vijay Shah, senior advocate Vibha Makhija told the court that the minister had apologized for his statement. The case will be heard in the Supreme Court on Friday.
The hearing of the Vijay Shah case was going on in the Supreme Court as well as the Jabalpur High Court. A day earlier, a bench of Justice Atul Sridhar and Justice Anuradha Shukla ordered an FIR against the minister taking automatic cognizance. The Madhya Pradesh Police had registered an FIR on Wednesday night, but during the hearing on Thursday, the court expressed displeasure over his language.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court took self -cognizance of the case and directed the DGP to register an FIR against Vijay Shah within four hours. According to the court order, an FIR was lodged against Vijay Shah on Wednesday evening, which Vijay Shah challenged in the Supreme Court. However, the court has refused to intervene in the FIR.
