Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Rubbishing the allegations of discord among the cabinet ministers, panchayati raj and rural development minister Prahlad Patel said, “There is always discussion in the cabinet for the development of the state. There is no dispute over the same.”

He said that the Madhya Pradesh BJP government’s focus was on transparent governance and development during a media briefing on Saturday. Addressing cabinet discussions on Ujjain’s roads, Patel clarified, “The BJP cabinet deals with financial matters with utmost diligence. There’s no room for mere formalities. If the Chief Minister has no objections, no one else should either.”

He lauded the government’s first year under Mohan Yadav, calling it a period of good governance, heritage promotion, and development. “With Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’ we’ve worked to transform Madhya Pradesh into a prosperous and inclusive state,” he said. The government has launched the Jan KalyanAbhiyan, aimed at extending welfare schemes to underserved citizens. Under the Jan Kalyan Parv, 63 essential services and 34 beneficiary-oriented schemes will be delivered through camps, ensuring 100% saturation.

Developmental projects and public welfare initiatives, including Bhoomi-Pujan ceremonies, will also take place. Patel dismissed concerns about the state’s borrowing practices, asserting that all loans comply with central government norms. He highlighted the completion of initiatives like the air ambulance project, which had been pending since Uma Bharti’s tenure.
