Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Sunday visited Khajuraho to attend the International Film Festival. During media interaction, he shared updates on the state’s ongoing efforts to establish a film city.
He said Khajuraho was among top contenders for the project, with the town being deemed the most suitable location for the film city. After the press conference, Vijayvargiya inaugurated an art exhibition held as part of the festival. He said setting up a film city in Khajuraho would not only boost tourism but also bring global recognition to the region’s renowned sculptures.
The local young talent will also benefit from new opportunities. He said efforts were underway to convert Khajuraho’s city council into a municipality As part of the Khajuraho Film Festival, film stars were invited by Matangeshwar Seva Samiti and Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya University to visit Matangeshwar Temple for prayers.
Actor Rohitash Gaur, known for his roles in popular TV shows like Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain and Lapataganj, and his wife Rekha Gaur, visited the temple and participated in Brahma Muhurt Aarti, along with Pandit Sudhir Sharma and Brahmakumari team. Pandit Sharma also took the opportunity to enlighten the actors about the spiritual secrets of Khajuraho’s ancient temples.
