Navi Mumbai: In a stirring tribute to the courage and commitment of the Indian Armed Forces, a grand “Tiranga Yatra” (Tricolour Rally) was held in Navi Mumbai on Saturday, led by Maharashtra Forest Minister and Palghar District Guardian Minister Shri Ganesh Naik.
The rally was organised to honour the Indian Army’s response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam through a successful counter-operation named Operation Sindoor.
The rally began from Blue Diamond Hotel in Sector 28, Vashi, and witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of citizens waving the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans. Among those present were former Member of Parliament Dr. Sanjeev Naik, former Mayor Sagar Naik, BJP Navi Mumbai district president Dr. Rajesh Patil, along with several public representatives, office-bearers, party workers and local residents.
Referring to the tragic attack in Pahalgam, which claimed innocent Indian lives, Minister Ganesh Naik stated, “The terrorists wiped the sindoor—the sacred symbol of marital harmony—from the foreheads of our mothers and sisters. In response, Prime Minister Narendra Modi aptly named the army’s counterstrike Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army’s valour in this mission is a matter of pride for the entire nation.”
Naik emphasized that the rally aimed not only to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor but also to reinforce national unity and deepen respect for the Indian flag.
“Following the cowardly terror attack, the people of India were certain that the Army, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, would give a fitting reply. Our forces acted swiftly and decisively, targeting terrorist camps and airstrips across the border. The world has seen the power and preparedness of India’s military,” he added.
The rally concluded with patriotic fervour at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Vashi, leaving behind a strong message of unity, resilience, and national pride.
