Several key development projects were inaugurated in Mangaon, Raigad, marking significant progress in infrastructure and public welfare. Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare led the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremonies, emphasising the state government’s commitment to development and women’s empowerment.
Among the key initiatives, Minister Tatkare inaugurated the Integrated Child Development Services Project Office at the Mangaon Panchayat Samiti and laid the foundation stone for the new Rural Water Supply Subdivision Office building. Additionally, she inaugurated the Dhalghar Phata to Wave Rohidaswadi road and the protective wall at the Idgah ground in Lonshi Mohalla. The event also marked the foundation stone-laying of a cement dam at Lonshi Bauddhawadi.


Addressing the gathering, Minister Tatkare highlighted the state government’s ongoing efforts to empower women through welfare schemes. She announced that under the Mazi Ladki Bahin scheme, financial assistance for February and March would be transferred to eligible beneficiaries’ bank accounts between March 7 and 12.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Lonshi Sarpanch Siddhesh Palkar, Unegav Sarpanch Shubhangi Shirke, Hodgav Sarpanch Baliram Khade, Panchayat Samiti member Shailesh Bhonkar, Hussein Rahatvilkar, Lonshi Deputy Sarpanch Machhindra Mhaske, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Child Development) Nirmala Kuchik, along with Anganwadi workers and other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Tatkare stressed the importance of addressing water scarcity in the region. She stated that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, various water supply projects are being implemented, and additional schemes will be launched in Phase Two. Necessary funds will be allocated to ensure Mangaon taluka does not face water shortages, and development projects will be completed on time. Several infrastructure works have already been undertaken in Lonshi Gram Panchayat, and the remaining projects will soon be completed.
