Amarnath Yatra 2025: The first picture of Baba Barfani has come out from the holy cave of Amarnath in Anantnag district of Kashmir. This time the ice Shivling is about 7 feet high. Millions of people from all over the country come to Amarnath to see this Shivling. The Amarnath Yatra will start from July 3 and will run for about 38 days. The yatra will end on 9 August on the day of Rakshabandhan.
People between the ages of 13 to 70 will be able to travel.
Registration for the Amarnath Yatra has started. The process of preparing the necessary medical certificate is going on. Indians between 13 and 70 years of age can travel Amarnath. The Pahalgam attack on 22 April seems to have no effect on the registration of the Amarnath Yatra. So far 20% more registrations have been done than last year. Since April 15, about 3.50 lakh pilgrims have registered advance for the Amarnath Yatra in offline and online methods.

The Shrine Board has also decided to improve e-KYC, RFID card, on-spot registration and other systems. So that the journey can be more systematic and safe. The board says that this time more devotees can come compared to last year. Therefore, arrangements are being made for stay and registration at Jammu, Srinagar, Baltal, Pahalgam, Nunwan and Pantha Chowk. Security has been increased after the Pahalgam attack. Regarding this, the horsemen and local volunteers are registering with ID investigation at the base camp. Strict IT verification is being done with full protocols regarding the safety of pilgrims.
Regarding the pilgrimage, PNB Circle Jammu chief Anil Sharma said that pregnant women, children under 13 and people above 70 years of age will not be allowed to travel, even if they have medical certificates. It is noteworthy that two routes have been given for the journey.
1. Pahalgam Marg:
It takes 3 days to reach the cave by this route, but this route is easy. There is no standing climb in this journey. The first camp from Pahalgam is Chandanwadi. It is 16 km from the base camp. The climb starts from here. After a three -kilometer climb, it reaches the flea top. From here, walking from here on foot, pilgrims reach Sheshnag. This journey is about 9 km. Is of The next day the pilgrims go from Sheshnag to Panchtarni. It is about 14 km from Sheshnag. This cave is 6 km from Panchatarni.
2. Baltal route:
If the time is short, the Baltal route can be used to see Baba Amarnath. It has only 14 km climb. However, this is quite direct climb. Therefore, the elderly have difficulty in walking this path. Roads on this route are narrow and have dangerous turns.
