Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police presented a chargesheet in a matter pertaining to the attack on two Army officers and assault of the female friends at Indore’s Jam Gate in September 2024. The police in the chargesheet claimed that the miscreants raped the army officer’s female friend at gunpoint.
It further mentioned that the miscreants had given an ultimatum to the other couple to bring 10 lakh rupees in one hour. When the couple did not return even after one hour, the miscreants suspected that they had gone to the police. The police reached the spot at 5 am; by then the army officer and the victim had come down the hill on foot.
Army officers attacked while outing at Jam Gate
Two lieutenants, residents of UP, were pursuing an official course from Mhow’s Army Academy. The duo went out with their two female friends on September 10, 2024. All four left Mhow at 11 pm and arrived at Jam Gate—the old firing range of the Army. They all got down from the car and started taking selfies and enjoying the outing.
At around 2:30 am, 7-8 miscreants attacked both the army officers with sticks and rods. Both were beaten up. Both were injured in the leg, back, stomach, and hand in the incident. When one of the young army officers asked the miscreants what they wanted, they demanded Rs. 10 lakh in cash, or else they would kill everyone.
The miscreants took all four away from the car. One miscreant had a pistol in his hand. The miscreants made one of the lieutenants and his girlfriend hostages and made them sit separately while releasing the other couple to arrange the ransom.
