Mumbai: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA)’s Konkan Housing and Area Development Board has announced a computerized lottery for the sale of 2,147 flats and 110 plots.
The event is scheduled to take place on February 5, 2025, at 1 PM at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha in Thane. The lottery will be officiated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar also in attendance.
Reva Gaikar, Chief Officer of the Konkan Board, revealed that the initiative has drawn significant interest, with 24,911 applications submitted along with earnest money deposits. The flats and plots are part of various housing schemes developed in Thane city, Thane district, Raigad, and Sindhudurg.
The application process began on October 11, 2024, and concluded on January 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Applicants were required to make earnest money deposits either online or via RTGS/NEFT by January 7, 2025, during bank hours.
The provisional list of eligible applicants was published on January 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM on MHADA’s official website. Applicants had until January 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM to raise objections or claims. Following this, the final list of eligible applicants was released on January 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
On the day of the lottery, results will be shared instantly with applicants through SMS, email, and the MHADA lottery app. This initiative underscores MHADA’s commitment to a transparent and efficient housing allocation process.
