Mexico City: In a dramatic high-speed chase, Mexican authorities intercepted three drug boats near the coast of Cabo San Lucas on January 15, seizing 2.19 tons of cocaine. A helicopter, two airplanes, and an ocean patrol were deployed for the operation.
The video of the incident also surfaced online. According to reports, nine members of the drug cartel were also arrested by the Mexican authorities.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation, the Mexican Navy unearthed and destroyed a clandestine drug lab in Sinaloa, reported The Economic Times. The force reportedly seized 15 kg of synthetic drugs. It also recovered a vast amount of chemicals and equipment which was used for manufacturing drugs.
Last year in November also, the Mexican Navy reportedly seized 3.6 tons of cocaine off the coast of Acapulco. Mexican Navy ships intercepted the boat and found 100 bricks of cocaine onboard, claimed reports.
