Indore Metro Set For Final Inspection, Commercial Run Expected By End Of March | Representative Image

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore is gearing up for the launch of it’s metro services, Inspection in 5 metro stations is scheduled on March 24 and 25 while a commercial run of Indore Metro is expected to begin by the end of March

CMRS will visit indore for inspection

Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) Janak Kumar Garg will visit the city on March 24 and stay for two days to conduct a detailed assessment of metro line. including the five station along with the 5.9km Super Priority Corridor.

During the inspection, The CMRS and his team would travel in the metro coach to monitor it’s speed which is set at 80km per hour and inspect various safety factors in the coach. They will also use a trolley on the metro’s viaduct and inspect the tracks.

CMRS and his team will also check passenger safety in coaches and vibration at fixed speeds. Metro’s Braking system will be assessed while the coach is stopped at the platform.

CMRS’s final clearance will pave a path for commercial run

Apart from the metro’s operational performance the inspection team would also inspect passenger facilities at the stations including lifts, platforms, escalator, electrical section and operational room. The railway board has already granted approval for metro coaches and tracks and CMRS’s final clearance will pave a path for passenger operations of Indore Metro

Earlier CMRS inspected the metro stations and coaches at Indore On January 22nd. And this upcoming inspection is expected to be CMRS’s last visit before the metro gets functional for general public.
