Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG C63 SE Performance in the Indian market. This is the third car of the German company to be launched in India this year. The company claims that this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 3.4 seconds.
The company has kept the price of this car at Rs 1.5 lakh. ₹1.95 crore (initial ex-showroom pan India). Its booking has started and its delivery will be in April next year. The new Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance will compete with the Audi RS 5 Sportback and the BMW M4. The new sedan has been introduced with AMG-exclusive design elements and updates.
Exterior: LED headlight setup with LED DRL The AMG C63 SE Performance is similar in size to the standard C-Class, but stands out with its vertically slatted grille, aggressive bumpers and quad-tip exhaust. Its front end is long and it also has wide fenders which give it a powerful look.
The front of the car has LED headlights with LED DRL. AMG exclusive grille with vertical slat in the middle. There are two electrically controlled air intakes at the rear and bumper, which adjust the airflow as required.
At the sides, sporty side skirts and 19-inch AMG wheels come as standard. In their place, 20-inch forged wheels can also be kept as an option. At 4841 mm in length and 1900 mm in width, the car is larger than its standard brother, while the wheelbase has been extended by 10 mm.
At the rear, there is a black diffuser, dual trapezoidal exhaust tips on either side and a black spoiler on the boot lid. However, its taillight remains the same as the regular C-Class. It gets a plug-in charging flap on the left fender and model badging with red highlights.
Interior: 12.3 inch digital driver display The cabin of the AMG C63 SE Performance gets Nappa leather seat upholstery as standard with the AMG logo embossed on the front headrests. Apart from this, many upholstery options are available. Rotary dials are provided on the dashboard in the steering wheel, through which the drive mode along with suspension settings can be selected. Behind the steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital driver display, which can be personalized with different styles and scenes. Behind the driver display you get AMG exclusive modes like Race and SuperSport along with an optional headup display. It also has features like panoramic sunroof and Burmester audio system.
Features: 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen infotainment system The AMG C63 SE Performance features a hybrid-specific display with an 11.9-inch MBUX touchscreen infotainment system centrally located on the dashboard. It has features like panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone integration, ADAS, AMG sports seats, carbon-fibre trim and red ambient lighting.
Performance: The company claims that the new AMG C63 SE Performance is the most powerful 4-cylinder production car It has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder V8 twin turbo petrol engine with 469hp. It has a 2-speed electric motor connected to the rear axle. This plug-in-hybrid setup generates 680hp power and 1020Nm torque.
The engine is tuned with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. An all-wheel-drive option is also available. The car has a 6.1kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 13 km on a full charge. The company claims that this is the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder production car, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 3.4 seconds. Drift mode is also provided for off-roading.
