Navi Mumbai, May 24: A video surfaced on social media in which questioned were raised over the hygiene standards of a famous restaurant in Navi Mumbai’s Sanpada. A social media user entered the kitchen of Meraki Restaurant and made a video claiming that the hygiene standards are not up to the mark in the restaurant. However, the restaurant has issued a statement and claimed that the claims being made in the video are false.

Meraki Restaurant issued a statement on its official social media account and said, “Truth matters — especially when it’s distorted. A video from our Sanpada outlet is being shared with false claims. It was filmed illegally, without consent, during routine cleaning hours over a month ago. No unhygienic practices occurred — only standard protocols taken out of context.”

The post further read, “At Meraki, we uphold the highest hygiene standards, backed by FSSAI licenses, third-party audits, and full compliance documentation. We’ve taken legal action against this attempt at coercion and remain transparent with our community.”

Always a great experience at this place. What really stands out is the attention to food quality and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.”
