Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma inaugurated the Mayor’s Task Force at the municipal headquarters in Indore on Tuesday. This initiative aims to streamline and improve chamber cleaning operations across the city.

The Mayor’s Task Force comprises four teams, each with 50 workers, tasked with cleaning chambers in one ward daily using advanced equipment such as de-silting machines and pressure vehicles. The launch event was attended by officials, including Waterworks In-charge Abhishek Sharma, Councilor Prashant Badwe, and several engineers and supervisors.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava emphasized that the new task force will address waterlogging issues caused by blocked chambers, providing much-needed relief to residents. The work of the task force will be monitored daily to ensure efficiency. Workers were also cautioned against entering chambers under any circumstances.

Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma stressed the importance of worker safety, instructing supervisors to enforce safety measures and provide uniforms and protective equipment. This initiative will be executed in collaboration with G Security India Private Limited. The task force is expected to significantly improve sanitation and resolve waterlogging issues across all 22 zones of the city. The event was attended by Waterworks In-charge Abhishek Sharma, Councilor Prashant Badwe, and several other engineers.
