Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen, decided to swap track for pitch to try his hand at cricket. The Red Bull driver was guided by three England cricketers Reece Topley, Will Jacks, and Issy Wong. Despite having no prior experience in cricket, Verstappen gave it his all, and his attempts were captured for the Red Bull racing video series.

The video showed Verstappen’s lack of cricket experience as he struggles with the basics, even unsure about how to hold the bat correctly. However, once he made the adjusted, Max showed that he can bat as well.

After getting a hang of things, Verstappen started making contact with the ball. He successfully hit three balls, while there were a few mishits as well causing some chaos among the crew. Verstappen jokingly remarked, “I almost killed someone.”. The real challenge came when one of the cricketers bowled a fast ball at Verstappen. The speed proved too much for the Dutchman, who could only hear the ball whizzing by, unable to see it.
