A crowd of devotees thronged the Thakur Bankebihari temple in Mathura on Sunday, causing the situation to become uncontrollable.

The crowd became so high that a woman’s leg broke, while five other women fainted. The medical team present in the temple treated all the women and the woman who has a fracture in her leg has been admitted to the hospital. In view of the ever increasing crowd, there were shortcomings in the plan and security system. Actually, as soon as Holi comes near, a large number of devotees are reaching Vrindavan to see Thakurji. Due to the holiday on Sunday, the number of visitors increased considerably, making it difficult to control. The crowd caused a stampede.
