Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting star Virat Kohli displayed a wide smile after smashing Riyan Parag’s ball for a six in the IPL 2025 game against the Rajasthan Royals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday. Kohli’s ex-teammate Suresh Raina was all praise for the star batter as the right-hander smashed a stunning six over long-off.

The incident occurred in the 14th over of the innings as Parag brought himself on for his third. Devdutt Padikkal welcomed him with a six but the next three deliveries went for singles. With Parag wanting to keep the ball from Kohli’s swinging arc, the former Royal Challengers’ captain fetched the delivery despite it being fairly out of his reach.

The 36-year-old batting star was eventually dismissed for 70 off 42 deliveries as Jofra Archer returned in the 16th over as Kohli tamely chipped it to the cover fielder. It also proved to be the first time that Archer had dismissed the Indian legend in T20 cricket.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag continues to captain them as Sanju Samson is still recovering from an injured rib and he won the toss, putting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) into bat at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. While Royal Challengers went with an unchanged side, Parag announced one change in the form of Fazalhaq Farooqi for Maheesh Theekshana.
