New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at Furniture and Interior Rental Private Limited in Okhla Phase One on Wednesday afternoon (March 13), spreading to an adjacent publishing building before being partially contained. Firefighting operations are still underway at the primary site.

The blaze started around lunchtime, preventing potential casualties. According to officials, a distress call was received at the Okhla Industrial Area police station at approximately 3:15 PM. The warehouse, owned by Gurdeep Singh, suffered extensive damage, and efforts are ongoing to fully douse the flames.

Several videos of the incident surfaced online.

This is the second such incident in Delhi. As per reports, another major fire broke out at Bikkgane Biryani restaurant in Connaught Place due to an LPG leak. The Okhla fire engulfed the first and second floors, sending thick smoke into the sky.

Meanwhile, six people sustained burns in the Connaught Place fire. Delhi Fire Service dispatched six fire engines at 11:55 AM, but the fire remained uncontrolled. The injured were taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital as firefighting efforts continued.
