A massive fire broke out in a plastic file manufacturing factory in Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area on Monday morning. A total of 16 fire tenders rushed to the spot, according to reports. No injuries have been reported so far. Visuals of the incident have surfaced on the internet showing the building in flames. The fire caused black smoke in the area.

The factory, which is in the midst of a residential area, could have resulted in a major accident; however, prompt action from the firefighters confined the fire within the building.

According to reports, the fire broke out around 8 am. The massive fire gutted goods worth lakhs that were kept inside the factory. The cause of the fire remains uncertain as of now.

In a similar incident, a truck carrying gas cylinders caught fire at Bhopura Chowk on Delhi-Wazirabad Road in the Thana Teela Mod area of Ghaziabad district last week.

The sound of cylinder blas was heard for several kilometres around the vicinity. No casualties were reported in the incident.
