According to the latest reports, Maruti Suzuki is working on a new mild-hybrid small car, which can cost around ₹ 5 lakhs.

This car will be especially for customers who want an affordable and fuel-entity car.
It will directly compete with electric vehicles like Tata Tiago EV.

Paurtrain and Engine Option

Maruti Suzuki can offer three powertrain options in this car:

M-HEV (mild hybrid engine)
CNG Paurtrain
FFV (Flex Fuel Vehicle)

It will be different from EV, as Maruti Suzuki is already working on low-cost EV.
