Some research suggests that there is a higher risk of developing dementia in married people than unmarried people. The research was conducted by Florida State University in the United States, and included over 24,000 American citizens. All these people were divided into four groups: married, single, divorced, and widows or widows. Researchers closely monitor their health for 18 years and this long -term study revealed shocking conclusions. Accordingly, people who were single, ie those who lived alone or divorced, had the risk of developing dementia than married people about 50 percent less. This information can surprise many people, as by now it was believed that married people are more happy, safe and mentally stable.

Demstation is a serious and slowly growing brain condition that affects the person’s memory, thinking ability and decision-making ability. This includes many mental disorders such as Alzheimer’s, vascular dementia and Parkinson’s. This problem is more common in people over 60 years of age. Currently there are estimated 4 million dementia patients in India, while the number is more than 55 crores worldwide.

Symptoms of dementia gradually appear. For example, forget that something is kept, forgetting the way of the house, confusing in small decisions, feeling changes in mood day by day, not able to do a work properly at a time. These symptoms may seem normal first, but if they are ignored, the situation can be serious.

The main causes of this disease include stroke or brain injury, vitamin deficiency, brain tumors, thyroid imbalances, aging and addiction of drugs. Apart from this, mental stress and social isolation can also adversely affect the brain. According to the researchers, the lives of most people after marriage are limited to their family. They participate less in social activities, their contact with the outside world is less and as a result, the mental load on their brain increases. Additionally, the responsibilities of relationships, expectations and stress also put pressure on the brain. Conversely, single people are more independent, they have fewer obstacles of time, they are free to travel, spend time with friends, and so their mental health is relatively better.

Some important things should be followed to prevent dementia. Such as doing daily exercise or yoga, taking balanced and nutritious diet, controlling weight, staying away from vines like alcohol and cigarettes, controlling blood pressure and most importantly, being socially active and maintaining a positive attitude. The more active the brain is, the more healthy it will be.
