Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday night. He breathed his last at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi at the age of 92. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has expressed grief over the demise of former PM Manmohan Singh. The Sangh said that the entire country is saddened by the demise of Manmohan Singh. Manmohan Singh had held the highest post of the country. His contribution will always be remembered. It is noteworthy that former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was ill for a long time. He was having trouble breathing. He was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi yesterday i.e. Thursday night at around 8 pm. He died at around 9.50 pm. Seven days of national mourning has been announced in the country on his death. All programs have been cancelled.
Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014. In 1991 he saved the country from economic crisis. As Prime Minister, he took historic steps like Information Revolution, MNREGA, farmer loan waiver and right to education.
When will the funeral take place?
Manmohan Singh’s last rites will be performed with full political respect tomorrow i.e. on Saturday. He will be given a final farewell near Rajghat in Delhi. According to the information, the arrival of his daughter is being awaited. The daughter will return to India from America by late tonight. After this, his funeral program will be started in the morning. According to the information, the last journey of former PM Manmohan Singh will start from AICC. His mortal remains will be kept at the Congress headquarters from 8-10 am. Congress Party has canceled all its programs for 7 days in honor of Manmohan Singh.
