Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was cremated with political honours. The decision to perform the last rites at Nigam Bodh Ghat in New Delhi was taken by the Home Ministry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also present in the funeral program of late former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Other political parties including Congress are demanding to build his memorial, on which the government has agreed. It has been decided to form a trust for this. Manmohan Singh died on Thursday (26 December) night at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. He was admitted when his health deteriorated.
