No one would easily let go of a job offer which offers them a 100% hike. However, noting down what it demands from you is equally important to make the right decision. A man who received a job with a 100% salary hike was confused about whether to accept or reject it because it asked to him work on an extremely late shift.

He pointed out that the job required him to adapt to a US Shift, which started at 8 PM and continued all night until 2 AM.

He wasn’t sure about compromising on his regular sleep for a good-paying job, so he asked netizens for some advice. He shared on Reddit about receiving a job which would ask him to be active during the late hours of Indian Standard Time.

With the Reddit post, he resorted to online users for helping him decide whether the job would be worth it or not.

“I got an offer with a 100% hike but the catch is the US shift (8 pm to 5 am). What should be my next decision?”, he wrote.

He expressed he was confused with the job offer: “I don’t understand what should I do, my last working day is already over on 10 Jan 2025 and I have this offer but have no other interview lined up right now, maybe it will take more time, so what should I do? Too much FOMO, what if gap increases, what should I do, you -3.9, data analyst”.

Internet helps him out with their suggestions – “Reject it”

As the post surfaced online, Reddit users shared their suggestions. Most of them asked him to reject the job offer despite the attractive money. They pointed out that his health would go for a toss if he was lured by the job offer and salary he would attract doing the US shift.

“Don’t do you need to pay the price of acid reflux, Gerd, Stomach issues and whatnot Not worth it,” one of the users commented.

Another person mentioned he worked in that shift timing and shared his experience in the replies to the Reddit post. He wrote, “As someone who has worked till 1 AM every day for many months… It was quite hectic and problematic, to say the very least… However, if you are in your mid-twenties then you may take that risk provided you also take care of your health”.

“Bro, why are you confused about this? Simply say no as this will affect your health badly”, wrote another user.

However, a few people advised him to accept the offer if finances were his ultimate goal.
