Vashi police are on lookout of a man who has allegedly taken videos of his 25 year old daughter while changing her dress. When the victim that she was being recorded by her father, she confronted her father following which he threatened her with dire consequences. After the victim approached the police, a case was registered against him for molestation and criminal intimidation.
The 25-year-old victim lived with her parents in Juhugaon, Vashi along with a younger brother. While the father was unemployed, the girl worked as house help.
On February 28, the victim was supposed to go with her mother to visit the Shiv Mandir in Ambernath, and therefore, she was changing clothes in the bedroom of her house around 9.30 am. While she was changing her dress, she saw her father filming her from the window. After informing her mother about this, an argument broke out between her parents.
After the argument, the victim left for work and went to the rickshaw stand, where her father approached her. He threatened her that if she told anyone about the videos or filed a police complaint, he would kill her and throw her on the street. Following this, the victim approached Vashi police and registered a case.
The victim also found that her father had recorded her videos several times. “We are looking out for the accused. He fled after he learnt that his daughter has registered a complaint,” police inspector Jehangir Mulani from Vashi police station said.
