Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Chhatripura police arrested a man for selling kite-flying thread (Chinese Manjha) which is banned in Indore, police said on Friday. According to the police, they received information that one Mohammad Sajid alias Arshad of Tatpatti Bakhal was selling the Chinese Manjha from his house.

The police raided his place and seized 5 bundles of Chinese Manjha after arresting him.

A case was registered against the accused under relevant section 223 of BNS and he is being further interrogated. Earlier, a woman, Reena Verma, suffered deep gashes to the throat near Chhatripura police station after a Chinese Manjha cut her throat while she was riding pillion on a two-wheeler to Ranjeet Hanuman Temple. 

She said that she escaped death because if she had sustained a major cut, she could have lost her life. She had appealed to authorities to prohibit the selling of this Chinese Manjha so that no one faces the pain she is suffering from and to prevent such mishaps in future.    

Man booked for molesting neighbour tattoo artist

A man was booked for molesting his neighour tattoo artist woman and thrashing her husband in Rajendra Nagar police station area, an official said on Friday. Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma said that a 29-year-old woman lodged a complaint stating that she is a tattoo artist. Her neighbor Charanjeet Singh used to molest her by passing vulgar comments and stalking her. When her husband objected, he assaulted him. The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of molestation and assault and further investigation is underway.
