Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old man ended his life by hanging himself on his third marriage anniversary in Sadar Bazar area on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. When his mother went to his room in the morning, she found him hanging. Why he ended his life could not be established as he did not leave any suicide note.

However, his family members blamed his wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law for harassing him for staying with his extended family. His wife was staying away from him at her parent’s place. According to police, the deceased was Kamal Jatva, a resident of Brahma Bagh Colony.

He was a fabrication worker. His younger brother Gagan alleged, “Kamal’s wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law were pressurizing him to leave his family and stay with his wife in a rented place. They had been continuously harassing him for the last six months over the same.

His wife was living at her parent’s home and refusing to return to her in-law’s house. When he went to bring her home a few days ago, his wife’s family had abused him, which led him to take the drastic step.”
