Indore: Man Dies After Falling From Tree In Chimanbagh; Family Suspects Foul Play |

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 37-year-old man died after falling from a tree while plucking Indian jujube (ber) on Chimanbagh Ground under MG Road police station limits on Saturday. The incident occurred in the morning, but he was found lying unconscious with blood oozing from his head at around 3 pm. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Vijay Verma, a resident of Nanda Nagar. He worked as a car washer. His elder brother Jay Verma said that Vijay had left home at around 8 am without informing the family.

He had climbed the tree to pluck Indian jujube for his children when he lost his balance and fell, suffering a severe head injury that led to his death. Vijay had been a junior Kabaddi player in his childhood and frequently visited Chimanbagh Ground, where he used to practice. A passerby spotted him lying under the tree and recognised him, as he was a familiar face in the area.

However, his family suspected foul play, alleging that Vijay recently had a dispute with someone on the ground. The police launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and got the post-mortem examination of the deceased conducted.
