Varanasi: A tale of love triangle surfaced from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi which led to a murder of a man. Daljeet was allegedly shot dead by his girlfriend’s new lover on the night of Holi, March 14. The woman had called Daljeet to meet her. However, the victim had no idea that he was being betrayed by the woman whom he loved. The entire incident was caught on CCTV installed in the area, and the video went viral on social media.
The accused was arrested by the police. As per a report published in NDTV, the woman and her new lover had planned Daljeet’s murder a month before Holi and on the night of March 14, they called the victim outside a house and shot him in the chest.

In the CCTV footage, which went viral, the accused could be seen on a TVS Splendor with a black helmet chasing the victim at around 11:05 pm. The victim was on a scooty. The video shows the accused pointing a gun towards Diljeet. Later he allegedly shot him in the chest.
Around 50 minutes after the incident, the accused was spotted on his bike parked behind a tempo, reported NDTV. The accused managed to flee from the spot. After receiving the information, the police swung into action. A special team was formed to nab the accused.
The deceased’s girlfriend was also questioned which led to the arrest of the accused. Another woman was also reportedly involved in the murder.
The police are searching for the murder weapon. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
