Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Man Booked For Raping Visually-Impaired Girl | Representative Image
A man, on the pretext of friendship, raped a 26-year-old visually-impaired girl on December 19 afternoon. A case has been registered against the accused, Nitin Shivaji Parve (35), a resident of Jehur, Kannad, presently living at Ramgopalnagar, Padegaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
According to the complaint, Parve met the victim a few months back, and he used to visit her home in the Waluj area often. He was friendly with her and her family members. The victim’s younger brother and sister live in the Padegaon area for their education. Parve worked in a finance company and used to call the victim and her parents on the phone.
On December 19 afternoon, Parve went to the victim’s house when she was alone. He then allegedly raped the victim. She tried to shout for help, but the accused pressed her mouth with his hand. He then threatened the girl to kill her and her family members if she reported the incident to anyone.
After the incident, the girl was in trauma and used to remain quiet. The family members then took her in confidence and asked what had happened to her. She told what Parve had done with her. The family members then lodged a complaint with the Waluj MIDC Police Station against Parve. A case has been registered while the police are further investigating the case.
