Dahi (Madhya Pradesh): A man killed his two sons on Thursday night in Bhanwarpura area in Digavi village under Dahi police station, using a sharp weapon. The kids, aged three and four years were found in a blood-soaked condition in the courtyard of their home on Friday morning.
The children’s mother Manju reported the crime to the police around 9 am. Preliminary investigations suggest that the murders were linked to a family dispute. Accused father Sikdar absconded from the spot. Manju told police that Sikdar also tried to strangle her the same night.
She managed to escape with her elder son, Pankaj, leaving behind her two younger sons, Akash and Vikas. When she returned home around 8:30 am, she found her children dead.
Sikdar was missing from the house at that time. After discovering bodies, Manju informed a local villager, Patel Pratap Singh, who then contacted the police.
Dahi police station in-charge Dilip Tadewala confirmed that the bodies were sent for post-mortem and later handed over to the family. The police are actively searching for the accused, who is described as a farmer and reportedly has mental health issues, the police said.
