Hardoi: In a shocking incident, a young man from Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur, was allegedly stripped and brutally thrashed by his girlfriend’s family in Hardoi. The man used to speak to the girl on phone since last five months and developed feelings for her. The girl on Tuesday, had called him to her village to meet her family but when when he went there the girl’s family held him hostage and thrashed him. A video, of the man narrating his ordeal is making rounds on social media.
The man in the video claims, he was stripped naked, tied up and beaten with sticks. He also claims he was made to drink urine and boiling water was poured over him. The man has been identified as Atul Kashyap.
Atul has alleged that he was beaten with a hammer on his private parts. He was reportedly beaten till he fell unconscious.
Police Action
When the police was informed, they rushed to the spot and admitted Atul to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Atul has injury marks all over his body. His entire body has turned blue due to the beating and his condition remains critical.
“Atul Kashyap was friends with a girl from Lonar police station area for about 5 months. Yesterday the girl’s family had called him to meet. Meanwhile, both the parties had an argument over something, after which a fight broke out. In which Atul Kashyap got injured. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot,” police said.
Police further said, Atul’s condition is fine, he is out of danger. The complaint has not been received in the case yet. Action will be taken as per rules as soon as the complaint is received.
