Man Attacked With Iron Rod, Gold Chain Snatched During Morning Walk In Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two miscreants attacked a middle-aged man with an iron rod, injuring his legs and snatched his gold chain, while he was out for a morning walk on Sunday.

The gold chain is said to be of around three tola, i.e. around 35 grams.

After being attacked, the man raised an alarm, when the miscreants fled from the spot. Later, the passerby rushed him to the district hospital where his wounds was treated.

Upon receiving the information, the police have registered a case against the unknown accused and began the investigations.

According to information, the victim was identified as Brijesh Dave (52), a resident of Sethi Nagar. He went for a morning walk on Sunday. While he was near the railway track via Alkapuri from the Ring Road at 8.30 am, two masked-miscreants appeared suddenly and attacked him.

The miscreants were carrying an iron rod and a stick with which they hit the man on his legs. Meanwhile, one of the miscreants put his hand around Dave’s neck and pulled out his three-tola gold chain.

He then screamed, but there was not much crowd at the railway track on Sunday. The miscreants then fled from the spot. He sustained injuries on his leg.

He then informed the police and police reached the spot. The police then registered a case against the accused and further investigations are underway. The injured was taken to the District Hospital and he is being treated.
