Indore: Man Arrested For Selling Expensive Liquor Illegally, Liquor Worth ₹1.36 Lakh Recovered | FPJ

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The excise department raided some places in city and arrested a man while illegally supplying expensive liquor to his customers in the city, officials said on Sunday. The accused used to bring liquor bottles at low prices in parcels from Haryana to sell them to his customers.

Under the guidance of assistant excise commissioner Abhishek Tiwari and excise controller Devesh Chaturvedi, a team of excise sub-inspector Rajesh Tiwari from Bambai Bazar circle raided two places in Manikbagh area and arrested Harpreet Singh after recovering expensive liquor worth Rs 1.36 lakh from his place. The liquor recovered from his place also included some bottled-in-origin (BIO) liquor.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, with the help of his aides, used to bring liquor bottles at low prices from Haryana to sell in city on demand.

He was associated with some people, who used to call him for liquor and he used to supply the same to them at their places. A case under the relevant sections was registered against the accused and further investigations are underway.

The excise officials claimed that the role of his other aides was also found suspicious and they are also being searched.
